The Experiences

The Nuragic complex of Barumini and the Giara Plateau

Experience the perfect blend of natural wonder and historical treasure in an unforgettable setting. The Giara di Gesturi is a plateau covered with cork oaks and dotted with small rainwater pools, home to the free-roaming wild Giara horses.

The Nuragic complex of Barumini, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the largest and most majestic monuments of the Nuragic civilization. Its towers, constructed from massive stone blocks, have stood for millennia, from prehistoric times to the present day.

Near the Nuragic complex lies the Casa Zapata Museum, which houses archaeological artefacts and, beneath the foundations of the historic residence, the remains of a large “nuraghe” (defensive complex).
